Welcome to the Primary 6 class page
Teacher – Miss McGill
Current Project – My Healthy Body
We have been busy researching important organs and systems within the human body. We have been sharing our learning through a variety of group activities and have had fun making posters to present our facts.
Our focus this term is division. We have discussed the importance of times table knowledge in supporting us with dividing. We have all been set the challenge to practise our times tables both in school and at home.
We have been enjoying the ‘5 card challenge’ this week. This is when we have to use 5 randomly chosen cards to make our target number 100.
This week we put our math skills to the test in our art lesson. We did the ultimate group activity and our hard work paid off. Each of us were given a small piece of picture (with no clue as to what picture it was from) We then used our knowledge of halves and quarters to scale our small picture onto a larger sheet of paper. We finished off our sketch using water paint before finally putting all the pieces together. Look at our wonderful creation!
