Money Week

On the 11th of March 2019  Money Week started! Shakespeare Schools offered us a generous money bus workshop and 100% of P7 have said they enjoyed the workshop. We have also had people from RBS talking to us about money fraud and we investigated about how Caitlin our fictional character got herself in a sticky situation. We learned not to share our personal information for the public eye to see . Also primary 1,2 and 3 had a workshop about how we use money. The rest of the classes enjoyed their work shops and that concludes our money week

Red nose  day

On the 15th of March the pupils of Longstone had a spectacular time coming to school in their pyjamas and wearing red noses. There were lots of amazing activities such as Splat the house captain and a bake sale which was a great success. All together the school raised 352 pounds and 21 pence! Everybody made an amazing effort and had a brilliant time.

Cross Country Competition!

On the 25th of March 2019, the cross country team will be going to yet another city wide competition. The event will take place at Duddingston Playing Fields. The team have just started their training again so that they will be ready for the competition! The course will be slightly longer than the Meadows so they will have to work extra hard to complete the course.

Cross Country Success

On the 4th of March, Longstone pupils from P6 and P7 went to a city wide cross country competition and did exceptionally well! They gained several medals and a couple of 1st places!

The team had to run just over 1 kilometre of the Meadows and were exhausted when they reached the finish line. They had to run through a lot of mud and puddles to complete the course. Luckily nobody fell over!

Both Bruno and Marnie from P7H walked away with a 1st place certificate. Coming just behind Marnie was Bella in 2nd place, Niamh in 3rd place and Zarah in 5th place! Well done girls! Also Emile, Ava and Sonny achieved a medal.

Unfortunately, only the top 5 people from P6 girls, P6 boys, P7 girls and P7 boys are allowed to participate in the next race later on in March. Here are the names of the people that will be at the race at Inverleith Park.
